I could do with disconnecting the reverse light switch connector to test the switch etc . Reverse lights not working .
Trouble is I look at the fragile looking plastic fitting and don’t trust my fat insensitive paws on it . Also not being familiar with how it fits makes me wary . I suspect it needs to be unclipped in some way . Maybe with a small flat bladed screwdriver .
Any advice .
While on the subject of plug in connectors how do the ones on the sensor above the engine un plug . They look similar and it would be good to know . I figure I will never ever need to unplug one if I know how they come apart
Are these connectors Deutsch connectors or something nasty which is unique to Citroen and Peugeot ? I had a browse through various web sites to see what I could find out and that’s where I spotted the Deutsch ones . I wasn’t aware such things existed as Ive previously only encountered the crimp terminals .

Are you referring to the plug on the back of the rear light cluster?

Hi Ken . It’s the plug / connector that fits onto the reverse light switch on the gearbox . It’s a stretch for me to reach it and I’m not wanting to break the thing trying to disconnect it .
I didn’t have any trouble looking in the rear light clusters to make sure the lamps were ok and I didn’t have a problem checking the fuse . Hiding the fuses behind the glove box is an interesting idea but the previous owner told me about that .
It’s getting near MOt time so I’m keen to get this sorted .

Ah, thought the cluster one was a bit too obvious to be posting about! I'm afraid I've never interacted with the one on the gearbox, but maybe a picture might help someone identify it.

My problem is the plastic plug that connects it to the wiring . It’s a totally unfamiliar style and I’m always worried about breaking small plastic parts . Usually there’s a nack to getting them apart which makes it straightforward when you know how .
To be honest the wiring on these vans looks like a whole world of pain and I’d rather not have to deal with it but sometimes there is no option .
