My driver's door one is the same or worse, wind noise and a cold elbow
It has been like that since I got the car five years ago so will probably never get done - I may go the gifferbodge route and squirt some silicone sealer into it.

Assuming it's not just the door being fractionally out of adjustment is it? Have seen that before at a door top because the door was slightly askew.

Was on our Sierra, and I think it was solved by applying large amounts of brute force to the top of the door to twist the top inwards by a couple of millimetres. Result no more whistling.

It could be Zel, I'll have a look. Had to drive it to St. Albans today, a hand towel slammed in the corner of the door solves the issue so it's not *that* far out. It doesn't start whistling until 60mph

As a completely unrelated to my Picasso post, I had a realisation earlier. You can say what you like about Fords - dull/rust prone/dynamically poor ... But apart from the blower resistor burning out (easy and cheap to fix) they really know how to make a heating and ventilation system. I've had issues with every single one of my French car systems, and never ever had one with any of the Ford's.

They always have Mike Right from the days of the MK1 Cortina I think... When they introduced 'eyeball' vents and airflow right through the car with air vents at the back... They had a name for it which escapes me at present...

Most older PSA cars I've owned have had issues with heating/ventilation - not least Xantias... They all misted up at the drop of a hat...

A surprising exception is my little Saxo... Heating/ventilation and demisting is almost as good as a Ford...

The 207 is not bad either...

Could it be that the door has been bent out at the top by someone (toerag maybe) trying to make entry with a wire coat hanger?

If so bend it back, they're quite week at that midway down point and easy to manipulate................be careful not to break the glass though.

Today after fitting a "symposer delete kit" to the Focus, which involved removing the headlight, swearing a lot when I couldn't fInd the new part where I'd left it. Eventually finding it, then swearing while Hellrazor James removed the old symposer, then I fitted the delete kit. I pottered up to see Jim for an enjoyable 45 min natter.

While I was there, I took an Estellfie..

Lovely lovely old Skoda. I'm highly impressed with it. Much better than I thought it would be! I'll be back when Jim's a bit better and it's light and try and persuade him to let me be a passenger for a short jaunt.

Sally the Saxo is also lovely! Seems like I just missed Zel while he was at Jim's.

I shall be back sooner rather than later! My trip to Huntingdon then back down the A1 was more rapid than the one up. I got the missus to talk to her niece in Spanish and tell her to tell me to slow down if the power of the Focus scared her..

My house is definitely my sanctuary, my escape from the world and a haven of tranquillity... All very purposely done.. Also my OCD won't have it any other way; I have to have it clean and tidy or I can't relax...

Well, over the last couple of days I have finally got around to fitting an aux-in cable to the RD4 head unit in the Picasso. I had the option of buying a Connects2 kit, which seems quite overpriced, or a cheaper cable like this :

And then borrowing the Lexia from Mr. HellRazor and enabling the Aux ports on the head unit. I chose this option.

To enable the ports on an RD4, you MUST use Diagbox. Lexia 3 doesn't have the options to configure the RD4.
Perform a Global Scan
Go into the Radio Section once the scan has completed, by double clicking the icon on the list of ECUs scanned.
Choose the repair option.
Enable the AUX ports by clicking on them, clicking the tick, selecting "standard"
Exit.

It should all work once you plug the cable in.

For some reason, if you simply go into the configuration of the radio and set the ports as present, it doesn't work. I could only get it to save the config going through a global scan and "repairing" the radio.

I then gouged a channel under the corner of the head unit to route the cable out into the open, under the phone mount.
