Ok, I've run a batch of these PDFs off for you and have sent them to your email.
Note that there is a set of 3 for each section (Principle, Wiring and Location).
There are a set for:
Audio Without Telematics
Audio With Telematics
Telematics Without Handsfree Kit (as we established you don't have it).
So look at the titles to ensure you don't mix them up.
If you need a hand with the codes, have a look here at the Wiki, where I've listed the most popular codes:
FCF Wiki - PSA Wiring Codes
Hopefully, you can work out what you have and don't or more importantly what you need!

Re: RD45 questions + Microphone installation C5 X7
Thanks for all that info, I'll give it a thorough read. From just surface scanning it seems like the microphone (8482) on vehicles without a headunit with a Mic input (like mine) is directed to a component called 8492. Is this the telematics box? I can't see it in the wiki.

Haha, the list gets longer. . . . .
Whereabouts would the handsfree kit be mounted out of interest?

Some of the units are behind the driver's left cubby hole ( I won't even call that storage as you can just about fit a stamp in there!)

Re: RD45 questions + Microphone installation C5 X7
Just another thing, when I installed the RD45, my new headunit only had one white FAKRA (hehe) connector, the old RD4 had a grey and a white conenctor.
Unfortunately the FM reception was poor with the new radio so I swapped the conenctors over so I was using the grey coax into the white FAKRA , things are better but not as good as the RD4.
From this wiring diagram
I can see:
8404: Aerial
8406: Electric aerial module
I cant make out the colour codes from that wiring diagram but im assuming without both coax cables being powered I'll have trouble?
Also does the setting "antenna mode" in the Diagbox menu matter?, should I set it to passive aerial if I cannot connect both cables?

Re: RD45 questions + Microphone installation C5 X7
The aerial is powered for the amplification and feeds to the module in the back of the car. There are single and dual tuners dependent on head unit. Of course there will also be the GSM and Nav aerials again depending on kit.
The setting is important and I'll have a check for you shortly

Re: RD45 questions + Microphone installation C5 X7
Can you post up a pic of the front of the new unit - I want to make sure I'm looking at the correct one - there are several variations of unit with the same name depending on model the fitment is for.

Re: RD45 questions + Microphone installation C5 X7
Do you mean the front of my RD45?
Hope you can see from that pic.
Is there a problem using a single antenna headunit with the dual antenna setup in the car?
Edit: Better pic on the ebay listing:

Re: RD45 questions + Microphone installation C5 X7
On the Navidrive 3D, the 2 FM tuners (dual tuning) are on the same frequency for correct RDS operation and the third tuner scans the frequencies permanently. My GSM feed is connected to my services module (which handles the internal car phone SIM and emergency functions) and the GPS antenna is connected to the Navidrive.
As your car is an Exclusive, the original RD4 was a dual tuner system - so this should be fine with the RD45 system.
In Diagbox, you'll need to ensure:
Number of Aerials: = 2 (as yours is a dual tuner system)
Type of Aerial No 1: = MUST be set to ACTIVE AERIAL
Type of Aerial No 2: = Active Aerial (as you have 2 aerial sockets at the back of the unit).

Re: RD45 questions + Microphone installation C5 X7
Yeah, the RD4 was indeed a dual tuner model, however the RD45 I replaced it with only has the 1 (white) aerial connector, and only one option in diagbox.
There is another version of the rd45 with 3 FAKRA connectors, but that one was double the price!
Should I connect the white or grey FAKRA connector for the best results, or do I need some sort of 2 to 1 antenna adapter?

Re: RD45 questions + Microphone installation C5 X7
Yes, there were 2 versions of the RD45 - a single and dual tuner - if you don't listen to the radio a lot it will be fine I suppose - but signal will be a bit hopeless in parts. Best match the colours of the plugs.

Re: RD45 questions + Microphone installation C5 X7
Yeah I think that's the solution for now :p
Just one thing, on cars without an electronic Ariel, I assume there's only one cable to the radio (white) whereas on my c5 I get better signal by using the grey connector instead, not sure why.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371219126229
Would I be better off using one of these? To my eyes it appears to combine the input from 2 antenna somehow?
I honestly wouldn't mind but it's only really Radio4 that has poor signal! And that the one I mainly listen to.

Hang on and I'll have a check on the diagrams - I wouldn't combine them as that adaptor is for a different setup.
