I can understand the reason why they won't provide an OEM contact though - they don't want support requests coming in to them directly - OEM equipment support should go through the Dealers, but realistically, Citroen UK head office - they have a good support service there, which I've used several times concerning NG4 issues in the past.

well... that's a good idea...
They sent me another e-mail:

Dear Nuno,

Thank you for you e-mail.

Please note that you have reached the the aftermarket car audio division. We do not have an OEM division.
If you bought a car with the JBL speakers built in, you will have to contact the car manufacturer.
If, on the other side, you want to upgrade your car speakers, please let me know and I will assist you further.

I hope this helps.
Best Regards,

I really just want to know the specs of the sound system, for future upgrade or replace speakers with the same wattage... :\

Well can't blame the guy for trying to flog you some new speakers! :rofl2:

However, that doesn't say a lot for the JBL system if he's suggesting an upgrade!!

I would suggest you ask them about an upgrade for the amp with exactly twice the power. That way they will have to look up the original power and also give it away. Why are politicians running a speaker company?

Because in our mixed up world people in customer service (whether email, chat or phone) have performance standards based on speed of response and number of inquiries handled, not the quality of the response. That means if they have to think too much or look something up it takes more time, so their performance drops, so they give the first and easiest answer that comes to hand. Reply, tick, move on .... next.

I've had a good response from Citroen UK HQ on spec/tech queries. They will have documentation for this OE-fitted unit, and will probably send you a copy of its spec sheet if you request it.

Hello guys... for a while I don't come here... but let me say that I still want to upgrade the sound system... I didn't do it yet because I had another stuff going on... like gear\fly wheel replacement and also time belt kit replacement... air condition recharging... and other things... but recently I came back to the will of doing the sound upgrade (seams like long term project šŸ˜›)... and I found out something very curious about the JBL speakers, a french webpage with all details of the speakers, and one thing that I was really surprised was the number of ohms that these speakers have!! Only 2 ohms per speaker... and 57watts rms.
Here is the link below if you are curious about:
