I was drunk flying recently, and I parked my De Lacey Anaconda somewhere. However, when I went back the following morning it wasn't there. Later I got a call from a rather irate ship Captain, telling me to come and collect The Helping Hand. I was a bit embarrassed when I found where I had left it;

(Joking about the drinking. I have a simple attitude; if I am driving in the next 24 hours I won't drink alcohol, as if I lose my licence I lose my job).

For anybody who is interested, somebody with a lot of spare time created a video showing all of the current ships (and the SRV) in Elite: Dangerous to scale. Here it is;

I've just realised I'm only 45miles away now. Is anyone planning on going in January or February? I've quite fancied attending since Alasdair mentioned it but was previously much too far away.

Possibly February or March depending how things go over the next month (we've had a bit of a rough month in the family health wise).

Will be far more interested in making the trip if I've had the opportunity to complete (and test!) the fuel injection conversion on the Riva by then...Reckon that in itself could make an interesting talking point at such a get together. Also be a good opportunity to do a real world Carb vs Injection economy test.

...Oh, and I need to fix the heater too.

January will be a bit much for me now anyway, New Year really was a bit ott this time. February or March would be much better and potentially I could come in my Xantia. Let me know if you are going Zel, I'm a bit shy to go on my own.

I won't make that one Alasdair but the February one may be a possibility...

I will however be down your way the following Monday (16th) for other reasons...
