I'll see you all in the Peugeot 605!
EDIT: Well, maybe not. The interior is fairly generous but I'm not sure we'll all fit without damaging my lovely beige cloth interior

I'll be there in my newly bought xantia, it's painted but the chrome strips from brian Primmer arrived dented so are not any good so I've had to make do and mend with what in can get from halfords (don't look to close!

Hmm. Might come. Might not. Was supposed to not be here but had to go to docs late on Friday to get epipens and be shown how to use them.

Re: X Rally - Sunday 17th April 2016.
Well that was an eventful trip.
Rain, sleet and snow on the way up Saturday.
Dumped 1 1/2ltrs of LHM on Grantham High Street, in the rain. Turned out to be a popped regulator return pipe....saved by 3/4 ltm in the boot and a Halfords round the corner !
Overnight in Boston then the Show on Sunday.
Was caught on the way out from the show and told to come back as I had "Wires hanging down" from under the car. An eagle eye member beat the warning drums and I got a call before I let the park !.....faster than the AA those guys ! It turned out my under body fuel line cover (middle section) had come apart and lost itself !....
Saved again by Jim and a couple of the lads armed with cable ties !
God knows what took the middle section out.....
Frosty morning, defrost and off to the show
One of the first cars to arrive with the fabulous GSA behind.

Delighted to hear you got home safely Alasdair
Indeed, thank goodness for the 'eagle eyes' of the person who came running an shouting after me to alert you to the wires issue... Without him then I don't think your day would have ended very happily at all. It was both the fuel pump supply wires and the fuel lines that were hanging down!

Re: X Rally - Sunday 17th April 2016.
I was like a bit reunion after all these months of not seeing everyone!
Took me at least a hour and a half to get more than 10 metres from the car through chatter. Still didn't even really have chance to look around many of the cars! Great fun.
605 did the 400 mile round trip nice and comfortably and I've still got over half a tank left.
It was interesting to park Dieselman's burgandy XM next to the 605 and compare it. We came to the conclusion that they are very different cars. The XM is definitely more stylish but the 605 more imposing.

Kev, it was great to briefly see you and the 605
I think you and Dieselman's assessment of the 605 vs. XM is pretty much spot-on...

It was a good old reunion! Great to see you Kev and your lovely 605, dave the rave and a few others.
Standard of the cars on show continues to improve year on year and as one of the concours judges the job is getting harder to call.
My new one flew up the A47 and drove superbly, it feels like a car 2 years old not one approaching 20!
