Just rejoining this thread: it's all become rather surreal haha ;)

It would be great to have some V6's on the trip - I know Dave de B' is planning to bring his along too.

I'd love to do this, but can't plan ahead because of my own health. I'm struggling to drive long distances at once, the day I picked up the activa I had 5 hours in a bus and 4 hours driving with a lenthy break 1/2 way home and it nearly killed me. So for now I will just be a maybe.

Phil, threads on the FCF always go off-topic at some point. It's the law!

If they don't naturally the admins jolly well see that they do ;)

The Admins are usually the worst offenders. It's sort of compulsory [emoji13] [emoji23]

Absolutely no probs. I like to see a thread with posts...

Back O/T lol:
Route plan update.... Just to remind you all the existing plan is subject to change. Not a big change but there will be one tweak to the plan... watch this space.

I've updated the route summary, (a more detailed plan will of course be available but this gives the idea).

Note I've updated the plan in a previous post too to avoid confusion ;)

I like the pale blue bits down South Phil :D A cyclists dream...

Looking forward to riding bike as well as driving my Activa along that stretch!

I really will feel like I'm doing a bit of the Tour de France :D

It would seem we can expect a fair few Xantias on this trip. Shame I can't take on that lovely sable gold VSX that's looking for a new owner! I'll settle for the BX then...

Will we see a picture of you here next year Jim ?

The air is fresh, the views are excellent, and there's a cafe out of shot directly over my shoulder that serves decent crepes and coffee for those who arrive early in their Activas and not on their bikes :-D

Or maybe up here on the Col Du Glandon......

Image

Although not all summits are glorious - this is the summit of the Col Du Telegraphe.... just not the picturesque bit :-D

Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

I definitely hope so...

Another one I want to get is a photo of me by Tom Simpson's memorial on Mont Ventoux...

That's 143kms from the closest point of the Challenge route (Le Roustou Camp site) so it's a bit of a detour Jim ;) But of course if you're down those parts, it's possible...

(If you look at the route plan graphic it's about where the 'g' is in the lable Digne-les-Bains)
