I think the "like" button is a good thing as one can register approval of a post without having to comment.

Turn it on for yourself then....that's the point now, its optional which is a good thing IMHO, choice always is.

My reasoning is this is hardly the type of forum/format that anybody needs or should seek another's approval is it ?

What is a moderated forum, if not one that needs approval from others anyway?

I don't view it as "seeking approval". It's more of a "thanks for your helpful post" tool for me, without wasting the OPs time reading my reply which would only say "thanks for your helpful post.."

On the member's profile page the link "Show list with all like actions" that shows a pop-up list of Like actions has wrong links (you can't access the exact member, post, topic etc.)

Go back to the beginning of this topic and read the first post.
If you like the feature then that is good, if you don't then you can ignore it or switch off the feature.

Firefox ... it seems the /forum/ part is missing from the hyperlinks on the Like pop-up ... i.e.

The username link on the left side of any post:
http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/m ... le&u=21546

The username link on the pop-up:
http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/memberl ... le&u=21546

Thanks, I see the problem now. It shouldn't be too hard to fix, but it is in part of the code that I am not familiar with.

While I have yet to use the Like/Love feature, I am already getting irritated by the fact that, whenever somebody Likes/Loves a comment I get shown all of the Like/Love action (as opposed to just the once since I last saw them). It clutters up the home page when I log back in.
