Aberdeenshire meet.

Post by daviemck2006 »

There's a plan formulating for an Aberdeenshire meet on 9th July. Probably at Kemnay. Who's coming?

I think that might be a bit far for me! I hope it goes well though.

The independence referendum is not until September Jim. ;)

I might have gone, but my car is not really in a fit state for unnecessary long trips. :(

I was asked for it crossing into Anglesey so I assumed all of the UK bar England now needed it.

Chris had to sneak me in... Curled up in the boot of the XM...

Maybe Anglesey is already an independent state... Must be. They speak in strange tongues up that way and their words contain few vowels...

Was a good day. Was good to meet Chris and Rick and have a natter about cars, then Chris plugged his Lexia into my C5. Took a bit of time to get it to speak to my car then it listed over 500 faults and 498 of them were rear view mirror! I have an auto dim mirror and occasionally it does what it wants to. Only 2 permanent faults left now, one is something about headlamp washers, and when I use the screenwash it always pings and low fluid warning comes up Un the dash, the other fault is something about steering angle. There is a broken wire down at the front left wheel hup I noticed when doing the handbrake. I wonder if this has anything to do with it. I can't believe the condition of chris' s xantia for its are and miles. One or two picky bits but a sound old motor, and Rick's x7 is a really nice car, however it is quite a bit lower than mine, and my head a lot closer to the roof, which for me may become claustrophobic. However if I were looking for an x7 l would be looking for an estate one which may be higher. Altogether a good day and I didn't take any photos as my car was nearer black it is so dirty!!
