Hello

Post by Skull »

Just a quick hello from me ....

This looks to be THE forum for me and my current car Xantia 2.1 TD

Just got it and needs a little work prior to MOT (burst brake line/seized rear height the initial faults) and adopting it into the family

£47 for a OSF brake line was a

Fairly happy to work on her but the Haynes manual seems to have skimped on the hydraulics chapter [-X

If I need some advice there looks to be plenty of helpful people on here with much acquired experience / knowledge

Wish me luck [-o<

In that position if my 8mm flare nut spanner fails I cut the old pipe off close to the union and use a tiny quarter inch drive 8mm deep six sided socket, bend the tip of a paperclip or something to hook the old seal out of the connector, be very careful not to mutilate the other pipes.

Thanks - it was the brake pipe join with the flexi hose in the wheel arch area..... hacksawed the pipe off and then got a socket knocked on the nut

I never saw any seals

all sorted now thanks 8-)
