Hello!
Might be because I can't drive a normal car, might be because I loved my old 205 td, or just because it was cheap, but I now own a 95 td xantia sx in blue (apart from the boot!)
I'llbe using it for daily duties, hopefully sorting out some jobs along the way.
Good bits, FSH from a bexhill specialist, recent cambelt and clutch, suspension nice and soft, engine runs nicely.
Not so good bits, straw coloured LHM, slow rise from low service, cloudy lights and awful, awful paint on the boot. Slight rusty strut tops and abs warning light, but that's because the wire has rubbed through at the rear. Oh and there's a wobble from the steering up to 30mph, but I appear to have cured that by swapping the spare for the front left.
Anyway,I'll be floating around, probably trying to buy things mainly...

Welcome It's a good car to follow on from a 205D and I. sure you'll get to enjoy it. Lots on here to help you. What this forum doesn't know about the Xantia is not worth knowing!

Re: Newbie xantia owner
thanks for the warm welcome!
I owned something rather different in between the 205 and the Xantia; a volvo 940 2.3 turbo, so the change of pace is taking some getting used to!
I'm currently in Weybridge, although working in Crawley and hopefully relocating to the Brighton area in the next few months...
