Just like to say thank you and hi to all the people I spoke to today.

I apologise for not bringing a Citroen, I did bring a Xantia last year if that makes up for it.

Driving this morning with the hood down was amazing though. And some of you think you have sunburn!!!!!

See you next year!!!

Superb turnout and a very fine day for it too.

Nice to meet up with previous acquaintances and make some new ones.
As Franklin said, just not enough time in a day.

Some magnificent cars on show there, impossible to pick a favourite, far too many contenders.

Apologies to Luke for the coffee sprayed engine - it was your own fault though, really

Nice looking Vel and the engine will never rust :)

Aha! That must have been you next to the MX5 with Roger and Sylv when I was leaving - didn't twig!

Sorry if the dust storm I created when I left went over you...

Haha not a problem, but if milky tea reacts badly with my oil leak you'll be getting a phone call!! :-D

Thanks guys for letting me in with a Renault and for an excellent day, some absolutely stunning cars there and so good to put faces to names finally. Well and truly ready for my Xantia V6 arriving now :)

Franklin - Project X was worth the surprise, that dash is the wallpaper on my iPad now

See you all again I'm sure

Hi All

Yes thanks to Franklyn, Patrick and Alan and all for organizing such a good rally, really good to see everyone again after the long winter :)
It was a very good day and good to see lots of new models as well as old!

Of the cars I'd like, the three have to be, the Xantia Estate with 9k on the clock! The new DS3 racing and the white CX GTi :-D :-D

And for all those who missed my white Xantia, won't be long to the National! :-D 8-)

Thanks again to Franklyn and co

Regards

Definitely recommend the CX, XM and Xantia Rally in September, Luke. Have a gander at these pics here to whet your appetite from last year - Friday to Sunday job.

Or the National Rally is a weekend event too in July...

No worries Mark - thanks for coming along...! 8-)

Great pictures Highdigi and Steve.

Managed to finish off going through my pictures of the day. As mentioned before, due to spending most of the time chatting I only took 41 pics which is quite unlike me...

Here's a general overview of the field - taken later on in the day so near to the 111 cars that were in attendance overall:

Image

Bit closer up this time, with all but the CXs and a couple of Ds:

Image

The Xantia's were definitely out in force this year - 23 which was the highest of all model's there:

Image

Few more Xantia's:

Image

More:

Image

Darren's V6 was tasty although the wheels divided opinion - (notice the number of wheel nuts...):

Image

Good to see a nice turnout of XMs too (20):

Image

Jim's XM 24v V6, Rob's XM SED, Geoff's latest XM - V6 24v, and Vince's XM 2.1TD?

Image

BXs were out in force too with 20 in attendance, although a bit down on last year's 26:

Image

My BX Digit, aka Project X was in attendance:

Image

Nice selection of CXs were present too (10), but would have liked more:

Image

Jon's Series 1 GTi Turbo that he's restored was looking fab (1st prize winner):

Image

Very nice to see HKY once again:

Image

Some Modern Citroens turned up too, with Mike's Visa and Luke's Vel Satis sneaking in:

Image

Other Modern Citroens mixing with the old:

Image

My C4 was in attendance too, lowering the tone:

Image

Good to get some pics with Peter's very nice C4 VTS 180:

Image

Image

All in all an excellent day all except for there not being enough time - it really did seem to fly by...

Good to see faces old and new, spent most of the day chatting and apologies to those I didn't get around to having a chat with.

Looking forward to other people's photos too.

Franklin, you may not have taken that many photos, but some really good ones there!
(BTW your C4 doesn't lower the tone one bit!)
