An hour an thirty two minutes from here, if Google is to be believed.

Goodle Mags says its three hours for me ... and your further North, however straight on the A1 unlike me.

I hope to do it in two and a half.

Afterburners :)

I meant the motorway services where we met Steve last year

Three and a half hours for me IIRC, one hour thirty two minutes to the rendezvous.

Kev, hows the "G" coming along?

Should be a good turnout at the x rally......quite a few off the xm forum coming down to.... Weather forecast this morning shows it dry all day and a balmy temperature of 9 degrees  Wow compared to what we have been used to it will be like Hawaii :P

Hopefully see some cool cars on the way down, but if Linda and Jack decide they are coming i cant see us setting off all that early....they do like their mornings you see.

We are just about to set off to the national space centre in a mo, thats just over from Burghley so after today they might sack off the idea of travelling down again a day after tomorrow.....i wont though :) See you at the rally folks 8-)

It going well thanks Vince. Not been tinkering with it much the last couple of weeks apart from a slightly leaky return on the carb which wanted looking at. I've just been driving and enjoying it as intended with some unfashionable blankets being used as seat covers.

A fair old trek, but no driving for me. We're planning on getting there for 11ish.

Look forward to seeing you all :)

Would it be ok to come in a vehicle sold in the same Japanese showrooms as Citroen's in the late 1980's/early 1990's?
I'm suggesting a 1997 Eunos Roadster.
Even the handbook and folder have Citroen chevrons beside the Eunos badge.

Heres hoping,

Martin.
You can come in or on anything you like Martin.

If you come on a horse it might get barbecued though
Wouldn't two horses be better? Deux Chevaux? 2cv?

If anyone would be interested I've got a few Xantia parts I don't need so will be bringing them with me. A couple of brand new lower ball joints (Lemforder), 4 hub caps (style of hubcap is Baccarat as used on S2 Xantia, fits 15" wheel) and a set of roofbars for Xantia or XM (assuming I can get them in a Eunos/Mx5).

Hi,
I will be hoping to come along to the meet, so it would be good to put a few face's to names or even names to Face's!
I will be coming in a Xantia Estate 110Hdi Exclusive, I have only just bought the car in a rush, as my previous Xantia Estate has become an un economical MOT failure, so I have literally had no time to make the car look good for the show.
The car is used as just a daily runner with 220K on the clock, so is certainly NOT a fine looking example, but I'm still very Happy to own her.
I will hopefully improve her with time.
Bryan.

Excellent!

Things are nearly ready for the rally in terms of cars. Project X is 99.9% ready and tomorrow sees the finishing touches being carried out...

As some of you may have read elsewhere I waxed the C4 the other day, but unfortunately it seems someone had been a little over exuberant with silicone based shine-in-a-can which has not reacted well with the finish of the C4... [-X :mecker: It polishes off with a microfibre but it's not right as it's finished all blotchy. A wash and another wax tomorrow will sort it. Damn annoying though as it was looking so good... My own fault really but the plastics shine-in-a-can brought the few pieces of exterior plastic up lovely although did it too soon after waxing. I'll do them first, from now on...

Time-wise dad's getting there for 9:00am to set up, Terry and I are leaving just before 9am in convoy so aim to get there for just before 10am depending on traffic...

Very much looking forward to it :)

Where should us non-Citroen drivers park our inferiors?

Hmm, not sure yet... Will have to think about that one - might even let you tag on the end of the non X Citroens...

We'll see, will come up with a cunning plan...
