NOOB Intro

A forum for new members to introduce themselves to the rabble already onboard. Not compulsory!
Tell us a little about yourself, lie if you have to but keep it to just an introduction, not a car discussion.

NOOB Intro

Post by mick66773 »

Hi
Bonjour and Guten Tag.
Hope that covers all aspects of people using this site.

I have been viewing the site as a guest for a little while to gain insight on repairs to my Citroen C5 2.0 (110) Diesel Estate (2001 model). I have owned this car for 3 years, and in previous history owned a 3.0 V6 XM (Beautiful car, shame it became a Bar B Q).

The current car has suffered a lot of the issues mentioned in the site, Back window not opening (fixed for a while) failed again. Mind of its own when it comes to the front nearside (passenger) door lock. And how can we forget the dreaded Limp Mode (Anti Pollution Fault), latest problem serious suspension fault at the rear, however this turned out to be an easy fix for the Grand Total of £4.80 yes £4.80 Hoorha

When she runs she is fantastic, when not what a (expletives not accepted)

Hope to share knowledge gained in the future. :-D

Hello, and welcome to FCF. I can't help you with the problems, as I have no C5 experience (although I have an HDi Xantia).

Now look what you've done, Mick! You've got them all showing off! I can only speak English (and some techoglish), so all I am going to say is "Wotcha!"

Have you got to the cause of this fault yet?

If not, the Anti Pollution message can stand for a lot of things and in the case of the 2.0HDi 8v it is certainly not the particulate filter, as it doesn't have one. It seems to be a catch all message ...
