My C4 in a brief period when the rain stopped
My C4 in a brief period when the rain stopped
Hi
I have only just found this forum, don't know why it took so long, looks good. I've already seen some people from C4owners.org!
The first French car appeared in this houshold in 2009 when we got a Clio Mk2 phase 1 1.2 for our eldest daughter to learn to drive in. Two years later we got a Clio Mk2 phase 2 1.2 for our youngest daughter. At the start of 2012 we bought a Mk1 Clio 1.4 as a runaround for my wife. It's really old but great condition with all electrics (including sunroof) working. So with everyone else having a car, I no longer needed the 2002 Volvo V70 T5 I'd had for the last 7 years. Sold that with 190000 miles on the clock & bought an Iron Grey C4 VTS. Unfortunately I wrote that off in August (I have since seen it re built & sold on ebay!). So I got another C4 VTS, this one obsidian black.
Having the girls cars to work on got me back into cars and doing lots of my own servicing and repairs, which I hadn't done since the 1980's!

Thanks for the welcome.
@ Citroening, I love the Coupe shape! I went to the French Car Show this year & took both my daughters as they have Clios. I may go to some shows next year particularly if we could see some older/vintage cars this time. Had a look at your thread, I didn't know you'd had THAT many Citroens!
@ Citronut, I'm in Bexhill on Sea (Little Common). The photos I posted are at Galley Hill & Cooden Beach. Where abouts are you?
@ Red_Dwarfers, I also looked through your "Geez, What an adventure" thread & am amazed at what you have achieved. (Red Dwarf is one of my favourites, at least series I-VI anyway)
Been having a lazy day today, so brousing through this forum has been fun

The Coupe shape is certainly a distinct one, and certainly not a car to blend in the crowd. A shame think that the new shape C4 is a bit too 'normal' in appearance, although still a smart car! :lol: Mostly my father's, although I've had a few...!

Well if you're after seeing some classic Citroens this is the place to be as a good number of people that frequent this forum are also members of the CCC.

By far my favourite Rally of the year is the CX, XM and Xantia Rally that is held every September over a weekend in Buckinghamshire - here's some of my pics of this year's event: http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... 34#p333034" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Early next year though there is the X Rally and also the National Rally too. Location wise you might be worth looking at the GS Ami Rally which is at Tilford, Surrey so a bit nearer for you - http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... 24&t=42602" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That's very kind of you to say so :oops: :-D

Same here on Red Dwarf. I did very much like the new series though they brought it up to date enough to capture a new audience but went back to the old proper dwarf style.
