Ooh looks like a busy June then Chris...
  • Another date for your diaries -

    The CCC DS section rally will be the following weekend, on the 28-30th June 2013
    at the usual field in Little Horwood
    Church Street
    Little Horwood
    Buckinghamshire
    MK17 0PF

    (Contrary to popular opinion :roll: ,
    you don't need to arrive in a D to be a part of it...
    or even own one...
    Everyone is welcome :wave1: )

Only a couple of weeks away now, the main focus is on the Citroen GS,GSA and Ami but as with all Citroen Car Club events as long as you have an interest in Citroens, turn up in whatever you want.

Camping:
Cost: Donation (proceeds go to the Rural Life Centre)
Available from: Late Friday afternoon. If you're planning to arrive on Friday let Chris Salter know via email just so that he can get an idea of numbers (simcauk@yahoo.co.uk)
Facilities: Drinking water and toilets. No showers.

Saturday is the social day
Cost: Free (As long as you don't go in to the museum)
A relaxing morning followed by a drive out to a local pub for lunch, heading back to the campsite for the G Section AGM at 3pm. In the evening bring some food and drink along to Anthonys famous BBQ. There is a Jazz evening next door providing backing music for the evening :D

Sunday is the main rally day
Cost: £6 (entry to the museum)
We move from the camping field over in to the museum grounds where we can show off the cars to visitors and have a nose around the place ourselves.

Tilford Rural Life Centre website and on Google Maps here.

Hope to see some of you there!

Malc, I did see that one, was going to post that ooop there on it but thought it probably made sense to stick it on Chris' original one where there were a few more replies.

What an excellent weekend it was! A fantastic venue, very different to any other car event I've been to. Forget a random field in the middle of nowhere with lines of cars, we dotted our cars around the various recovered and restored buildings of the Tilford Rural Life Centre. Mine was parked with a few other GSAs outside of the chapel, a few Visas hovered near the school and we had an Austin Metro next to the lamb enclosure!

I'll get some photos up in the next few days. If you're on Facebook have a look on the G Section page, lots of people are sharing their rally photos on there.

Wow busy weekend that was...

Saturday was the DS3GB Owners Club Launch Day meeting at the Donington Grand Prix Collection from 11am - & Wow – what a day! Despite the weather,
Were taken by surprise by a sudden shower outburst & I got soaked, I couldn’t get to and in my car quick enough – I unbrellas were useless in the wind.
Fantastic turn out for the launch & considering it was the 1st DS3GB meet we had 12 cars!!
Then at approx. 2pm we took a drive out to Rutland Water – where we had a chat & drink [& ice cream]
Weather was a bit better in the afternoon, a little windy but rain held off just
My pics are now uploaded on my website @ Link: http://public.fotki.com/JonM/ds3gb-owners-club-l/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Thanks DS3GB was a FAB day - Roll on the next one!!

& Sunday I went down south to the Citroën Car Club G Section Rally 2013 [G/GSA/Ami] at the Rural Life Centre, Surrey, Once again a great day had by all and some small showers but in general, weather was nice.
Pics now uploaded – see them @ Link: http://public.fotki.com/JonM/g-section-rally-2013/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
