Hi All,
Our next Group Meeting is to the Parson's Drove Show on Sunday 15th of July. It is normally a great show however we usually miss it as it always clashes with the National Rally. As there's no National Rally this year it'd be great if we could have a presence at the show.
There's lots of things going on at the Show and you can see their website here for further details.
There is an entry form for the show which you can find here, although you don't have to send one off, it does help with their organising etc.
Address is: Parson Drove Playing Field, Parson Drove, Wisbech, Cambs, PE13 4LA.
Gates open at 10am.
Anyone thinking of going?

Is there going to be a convoy route along the B1166 past Throkenholt? If so it'll be worth the journey just to watch as it'll provide far more entertainment than F1

You're from Lincoln way aren't you Jackson? If so, it's not too far - https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=li ... ra=ls&z=10" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't think there'll be a huge amount of Citroens there to be honest - probably around 8ish. I think there'll mostly be BXs there...

Re: CCC East Midlands Group Meet - Parson Drove Show - 15th
Was a good day today, with the weather being very kind (amazingly I even caught the sun!) and it was a much better show than I anticipated with a huge amount of cars. There was just 6 Citroens, with 5 being in our 'CCC Group' which included Mike's DS, George & Maggie's DS, Maurice's XM, Sandre's BX, Dad's GT, and the other Citroen was a Plums & Custard 2CV. There was also a Racing Saxo there too. The Blues Brothers Tribute band was really good too - better than I was expecting... All in all a good day and thanks to those who came along - good to see you all again.
If you want to see all the pics, here's a slideshow - link.

...and a few other non-Citroens that I really liked:
Top tip of the day - don't stand next to this when he fires it up and bounces it off the rev limiter...
Edit - just looked on the BXC and according to Sandre, Mike's DS won Best in Show! We had seen people writing down his car number a lot during the day... WELL DONE MIKE!!

Bugger Another EMG meeting missed because of other happenings...
Some rather odd Citroens there Franklin... I never knew Citroen made a MK1 Escort for instance....
When's the next meet?

Sorry you couldn't be there Jim...
Indeed! Although I must admit I am partial to some nice Fords - the old and proper ones only though...
After the ICCCR it'll be the 18th August which is for the Maxey Car Show - a thread will go up a bit nearer the time... Here's the bumph that will be appearing in the EMG Area of the Citroenian...

We had a presence at this show last year and this is where Mike Cottingham’s beautiful DS won Best In Show. The Maxey Classic Car Show has been held every year (expect 2008) since its inception in 2001 at its traditional location at Morell Lake, Quarry Lane, Maxey.
The picturesque lakeside venue seems almost purpose-built to house the large numbers of show vehicles and paying visitors that the show regularly attracts. With an impressive number of service vendors – bar, hot food, beverages, ice cream vans, etc. - and autojumble stands the Maxey Classic Car Show is now one of the largest and best attended events of its type in the Eastern region. Informal and low key – single show vehicles do not need book, just turn up on the day – there is always something to see and do (like the live band performances and the bouncy castle for the kids). So make a date in your diary for this year’s show which will take place on Saturday 18 August 2012 from 11.00 am onwards – rain or shine. Still only £3.00 entry for adults (either on foot or as a passenger). U14s are free as are drivers of show cars. Please see their website for more details http://maxeycarshow.wordpress.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Where be Maxey then Franklin? Must be a long haul from my gaff as I've never heard of it... If it's too far distant then it's unlikely I'll be able to come along.
I wont' be at the ICCCCCCCCR either sadly. Far too far away. In fact although I'll definitely be at CXM, any other rally this year is in severe question

It's just North of Peterborough Jim - https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Ma ... ls&t=m&z=9" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - so not exactly 'local'...
I can understand about the ICCCR as what with the controversies etc about the location - it IS too far away IMO however we've been there and done that in the other thread...
However, the CXM will make up for it Jim - the best rally of the year!
