See you all there... :)

An excellent day out and a great turn out, well done Franklin + co.
Good to see everyone again!, Im impressed how Paul managed to fit the interior in his already packed xantia!
I tried to turn will (dieselman) to the darkside of Cx'ing, i think he is tempted....
Looking forward to the next one which I believe is DSM!

Thanks Dave, and IMO I too thought people enjoying it today.

Thanks very much to everyone that came along today as we had an excellent turnout of just over 80 cars... =D> =D>

The attendance was mostly BX's however the Xantia's were very close behind I'm happy to say!

There was a good amount of XMs too but with a small number of S1s unfortunately. C6s were in plentiful supply and lots of other "Modern C's" including a couple of C4s, Picasso, ZX etc.

The totals according to the sign in list are below:

BX - 26
Xantia - 19
XM - 13
CX - 9
Others - 16

Good to see everyone again and chat Citroen's - won't name names as I will miss people out as there was a lot of people there today!

Prize-wise for Xantia, Jason won Best Xantia with his Series 1 3.0 V6 24v that used to be Roger's old car. I'm sure Roger would be pleased to see it looking like it was today as Jason put a huge effort into it and it certainly did show. 8-) 2nd prize for Xantia was Barry's 3.0 V6 Activa (Manual!) - what a car. Third prize was awarded to Mark's amazing 1.9TD SX white Xantia.

For CX, first prize for best CX Was Jon's blue Athena (he was there at 9am polishing it!). Second was Andrew's lovely low mileage Delage Red Safari, and third prize was to the well known Series 1 Prestige (HKY) that belongs to Dave.

XM-wise was a very tight competition however Matthew's beautiful gold Series 1 3.0 V6 XM got the prize for Best XM. Close behind was Darren's very beautifully modified Series 2 3.0 24V in a lovely shade of blue with wheels that really set it off nice. The CX Bonnet vent was a particularly lovely touch... Third prize was to Will's 2.1 SD that really is a nice car...

The only way to stop Tim winning first and second prize for Best BXs was to have him help judge the cars, and thus first prize went to John's (?) 19TGD that is a lovely car, second to Gary with his Meteor (he would have got first if his Meteor sticker wasn't faded!), and third prize to Paul's very clean Silver TGD.

All in all, there was some very nice cars there indeed, of course there has to be a mention for Ian's Mark 1 BX Estate and for that car he won a nice bottle of beer. Apparently he doesn't drink though, but he said his wife does! Dave's CX is worth a mention though, as we could hear Will laughing rather loudly when he was taking it for a spin around the field... Fish and Chips twice please, Dave!

Going to sort of the photos I took now, which should be up soon. I saw the C6 owners copied Jason and I's idea of putting his Xantia infront the the house for some photos and then the C6 boys moved up there!

Thanks again all...

An excellent rally and a fantastic start to the season :-D Shame it got a bit chilly and stormy but that's now normal for CCC events

It was so good to meet up again with old friends and make a whole lot of new ones..

V6 Xantias were a common sight

In all, an absolutely great day and a round of thanks to the organisers... =D> =D>

Back in Walmington after a good journey home.

Just starting sifting through a few snaps I took while there, but can't resist putting one up for the moment. Maybe more later, if any good.

Great to meet you Jim and Chris, btw, and few other the name of which escaped me! And yes, it was a little cold, wasn't it? Just a great day out, though, and in our weekend away, the jewel!

Later...

I had an excellent day, very nice to catch up with people again and meet some more new faces. The turnout was great, I was in my element surrounded by XMs and Xantias  After having a good look around CitroenCrazy's Xantia 2.0HDi Exclusive estate I'm rally liking the idea of getting one and have been for a while actually.

Im very pleased with my bargain Xantia Haynes BoL :)

There were some really very nice cars there, the low mileage CX Safari was among my favourites, as was Matthews S1 XM and a selection of Xantias 8-)

An excellent event Franklin, great location too. Next time can we have a slightly warmer wind though  At least the rain held off, mosty, I followed it most of the way home

I think I had a glimpse of you, Chris - I was relying on Chris570 for so much info today. Was also looking out for Rothgar, and I have a feeling I might have bumped into him (carrying umbrella?).

I'm definitely planning on being in Beaulieu for the event in July, Chris. I love a day/two day trip out, and the family are more into it now. So hope to meet up again.

On getting home we found out CCC docs on the doormat - I was wanting got put some stickers in the rear window of the estate asap (possible when it comes back from the garage).

I don't mind coming with a tri-pointed hat and a feather plume if it would help.

As it is, this is the best I'd be able to do:
