Hello from Gothenburg Sweden
Hello all from the home town of Volvo. After driving these cars for over 40 years I look for more excitements in my life. Peugeot Partner 1.9D -01 and Citroen C4 1.6 EGS -07 are my new friends in my mobile life. Nice to be here on this forum!

Hello everybody! I suppose this is the "new Gothenburger on board" thread, so here I am. Another Gothenburger, that is. Good to be here!
Volvo? I've heard of those. They're Chinese, aren't they?

Unless it's a Nissan Skyline or any Nissan with SX or ZX at the end of it's nameroffekof wrote: Hi! I don´t like to drive "rice cookers" .
Took a lady-friend out for her birthday last evening and spotted a lovely Skyline in the restaurant car park. I drooled and dribbled Lady-friend just thought it was ugly

Re: Hello from Gothenburg Sweden
We are getting a bit confused here...
RICER
The pejorative is often intended to denigrate cars which have been modified cosmetically to give a false impression of high performance, but are not actually capable of it. The accusation behind this is that the car has been customized with the intent to fool people. The term is most often used against East Asian-made vehicles where the population is presumed to subsist on a diet of rice (quote of wikipedia)
It was an american term, you have the muscle, import (audi/bmw/porsche/etc) and asian car types. When your on a track in your Camero SS with all sorts of shiney supercharger out the bonnet thinking your the nuts and a Honda CRX beats you, yeah, there is going to be some name calling. With the growth of illegal race cultures all over the world, terms get confused. In england a ricer is a car chavved up with bodykit, neons and that tat. Its quite like if your doing a "Wangan run" in the UK. No, your not in Japan on 1 of their well known motorways, your just doing a top speed run to see who can get the fastest between 2 points on a motorway.
Just to clear it up for you lot
