French Car Day: Beaulieu; July 8th

Post by citroenesque »

http://beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/c ... ply-french" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This seems to be one not-to-miss if at all possible.

I've decided to make this a family day out, so we've booked a family room at a nearby Hotel - for only £19 - so we get to an opportunity to see all the attractions. Check out: http://www2.travelodge.co.uk/search_and ... tel_id=541" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

On the Beaulieu site it does say "Please note that if you wish to park alongside your friends, or fellow club members, you must arrive together as there will be no designated areas available."

With entry after 9:30am I suggest it might be a good idea for as many of us French Car drivers who are planning to go, to meet up at a convenient nearby location at, say 9:00-10am and then convoy to the Museum? Such a convenient location could be the above hotel if there were others taking advantage of this £19 deal (which for a family will cost less than camping).

I love Beaulieu so I'll more than likely be there :-D

It has all my favourite attractions all in one place - old cars and bikes, a walled Victorian kitchen garden, a stately home, ruins and a monorail. What more could one ask for...

That looks ideal! I thought of going to Beaulieu a while back but didn't - for whatever reason, can't remember now - but this thread has reminded me so I will definitely make the effort this year! I know this is a car forum etc but I am a bike nut, really into them, what is their bike section like? I love retro peugeouts :)

The 1939 2CV alone is worth going to look at.

This looks very interesting, I will try my best to make this.

Its only a 750 mile round trip for me, might need to be an over nighter :roll:

Sounds good, I should be able to make it. Will probably end up booking in that Travelodge too and make a weekend of it.

I'm making a weekend of it too and have booked in at that Travelodge. I've never been in a brand new one before!

Its been about 12 years since I was last at Beaulieu and this seems the perfect opportunity to go again. Ill try and make it, I should really get the hotel booked too. I might even do two nights actually.

It's sort of close enough to Walmington to make it it one day, but I'm tempted by the night's stay for ease.

It does seem to have gone up to £39, but its still pretty cheap.
