Central Scotland meet?

Post by Jabo »

Would be up for a meeting myself. Anybody else?
I want to do more car related socialising this year lol last year I only went to the Cars & Rides show, need to do a lot more.

A meeting this summer would be good. Post on here if you fancy it :)

I'd be up for it I've done quite a few classic shows in the merc but with it going up for sale leaves me with the C5 and its not really a classic yet lol.

To be fair, the Xantia isn't a classic but we still find ourselves at or organising meets. Even at last years Citroen Car Club DS/SM rally I think we had a fair amount of Xantias/C5s and all!

I have organised a couple of gtg meets before and have found having an event to go to or a place helps increase numbers of people wanting to come. Do we want a drive round the hills, meet for a pub lunch, meet at a tourist attraction, tag along at a car show or something else. Next work out a few dates sundays usually seem to be less busy for people with families and work and then pic one that suits the most and pray for good weather

In fact if anyone is interested I have been here a few times and they let evrything come along http://www.srtclassicshow.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I like that idea. A meeting at this year's show could be fun :)

Its a slight treck for me but I do like driving in Scotland, so I might be a possible. A drive sounds good to me or even attending that classic show.

If people are up for the show do we want to sort a club stand???

I also think try and arrange a driving day in august as there are plenty of good roads about and this would give a bit more time to arrange

For info, see the Citroen Car Club's Scottish Section website that they made - looks like they've quite a few events planned this year. Might be worth meeting up to boost Citroen numbers?

They're one of many Section's of the CCC - there's loads all around the country, although some are more active than others.

They meet once a month at Stables in Kirky, I did not know that. I lived a couple of miles from there most of my life. Jumping along to one of those meets might be worthwhile.
