CCC East Midland Group Meet - Bourne Citroen - 23rd October.

Post by Citroening »

The next meet within the East Midlands Group is to visit Barry Annells' establishment in Bourne (Bourne Citroen - PE10 9JY for GPS users) on the 23rd October.

The plan is to meet at the Waterside Garden Centre (PE6 9NY), on Kings Street, just off the A15 at Baston, at 11.00 am, have a look around, then have lunch in the restaurant there. Afterwards we will convoy to Barry's Garage for a good look around and rummage!

Who's thinking of coming? We will be in (fingers crossed) the Oltcit... :D

Umm, I reckon I could be tempted Franklin but I do have an allergy to gardening and especially garden centres. It's a similar to the allergy I have to DIY stores...

I will let you know for sure nearer the time as that weekend is the weekend I've got pencilled in to collect this HDi I'm after...

 Can't say I am a gardening fan either Jim!

I would expect that most people will have a good natter where all the Citroens are parked and that the gardening anoraks will have a look 'round before lunch and then a convoy to Barry's.

Might be able to get Jason to come in Roger's V6 too...

I'm planning to join you all for this day out.
Whilst I know Barry at Bourne Citroen, I've never been to his workshop.

I'll most likely bring my recently acquired C6.

Unfortunately I shall not make this one as I have a prior engagement with an engine hoist and a certain XM....

Er, there's a small matter of a duff gearbox, the reason the engine needs to come out, and the lack of tax and MOT...

Otherwise, an excellent idea Tim...

A duff gearbox, XM auto then, you should buy yourself a BX

Tim, I've tried and tried to break my Xantia addiction  If an XM couldn't do it then what chance a BX?

Do you really think a CX has what it takes to break my absolute addiction Franklin? Is it characterful enough? Remember an XM nearly did but not quite but it was as near as anything has ever got...

So, on that basis, in what ways is CX so much better than an XM that it might break my addiction?

:)

i think maybe a dersh (2CV) as you dont require and engine hoist to lift the lump out, and i aint seen an AUTO one as yet,
all problems solved,
