Although I have no CXs with me this year. I will be certain that you will be in a CX this coming weekend. I know of someone bringing a CX GTi Turbo, that could be talked into letting you have a shot of it. Then you will see the errors of your ways!

In fact when are you next in Ireland? Come up here, and you can try a CX GTi Turbo 2!

GTi Turbos are brilliant...add Maikonics and WOW! Different class altogether.

Dad's successfully frightened quite a few people with my ol' Maikonics CX in the past! 250BHP and 320 FT/LB Torque. Powerrrrr.

Wish my Cx was in one piece! But still it needs the welding done as water on the inside is not great So Xm for me, which funnily enough leaks water as well :?

If anyone has a spare black gti interior, then now would be a good time to let me know.. lol

Saves welding up that DTR doesn't it!

You'd also have the only diesel Croisette in the UK - we only got the 2200cc engine.

All of the welding has been done to the Croisette, and it didn't need much fortunately.

And I've done a CX petrol to diesel conversion. Went without a hitch, 2 days work including taking the diesel engine out of a write off.

Sounds like everything is perfect for Dave then!

A couple of days spannering and NO welding either - easy! :D

I'm sure Dave would be entitled to unlimited pickled eggs too...

I finish work at 1pm on Friday so will aim to get there Friday afternoon.

Quick question - is there any hard standing any where? I need to do handbrake shoes and rear discs and pads but thanks to work today is the only day off I have this week and I really don't feel up to doing it today.

Toby,

Not that I recall from last year, but give me a shout if you want a lift when you do it.
