Shame the weather was not so good today! Even Jims umbrella did not help the situation!
Much appreciated Dave!

Weather is a sore point with me today. Out on the Harley + waterproofs. Harley worked - waterproofs didn't (well, lower half didn't). Sylv was dry though.

Oh boy. The Xant actually looks decent with Andy's handy camera work. You see! He knew not to take a full shot of it - that's expertise at work, that is.

I've just got back a little while ago, had a really excellent weekend. The drive down was very enjoyably, fast, easy flowing and the car was an absolute joy, they do make very good motorway mile munchers Activas.

Today was a bit wet, well at times very wet and it didn't ease off too much. However there was still a fair turn out despite the virtually none stop rain. A little different from last years DSM where I got sunburn!

Jim gave my Activa a check over with his E.L.I.P (I think it was elip!) Lexia substitute, apart from an error I expected due to it having a manual boost controller and the steering wheel angle sensor fault, which is apparently quite common, all is well with my Xant, its very healthy :D

There were some very nice cars there today and as always it was great catching up with people and chatting cars. Nice to meet a few new people and put more names to faces.

The drive home could not have been any more wet, there certainly couldn't have been any more spray, thats for sure! The Activa averaged 30MPG on the drive down, im impressed with that figure given my cruising speed. It did 32mpg on the return trip which was a slower journey, so 31 average. Im quite confident that with careful driving it could easily exceed 35mpg. It never put a foot wrong weekend. All in, a very enjoyable 490 mile trip and a very enjoyable day. I have to confess that one reason I went, especially given the known weather forecast, was to have a nice drive out in my Activa

I have taken a good few pictures, ill stick some up later on :)

It was a good rally but such a shame it rained all day on Sunday...

It didn't dampen the spirit too much and it was good to meet up and have a good natter again.

Chris, delighted the Activa was good on the trip :D The diagnostic machine is an E.L.I.T...

31 out of an Activa is not bad at all :D

Great stuff Chris :D Just riding around the field watching the live suspension parameters it felt very good indeed. It's a good 'un you have there.

How's the fuel gauge? Is the temperature gauge reading high too?

Unusually I drove mine to work and back today. Made work nearly tolerable. It was very hard to go back after my Activa holiday

Thanks Jim, I think its a pretty good one too, ill keep on top of it and carry on improving it. I can see this being a very long term second car.

I don't know what is going on with the fuel gauage, it works perfectly fine it just goes way above full and hits the gauge surround. It drops at the normal rate after that, though im slightly concerned that when its getting to empty it really is empty ...

The temperature gauage reads very accurate, or so I believe, it doesnt fluctuate or sit too high/low.

I too drove mine to work today and I know what you mean, it does make going a much better experience

Anyone got any more pictures - I'm dying to see some! :D
Unfortunately the rain was over here too and we had to come home after 30 mins as rain doesn't agree with car's with no bonnet or roof...

I have heard that the numbers were slightly down from previous years with 23 Ds, 3 SMs, 4 CXs, C6, Xantias etc, and a cassis nacre CX too.

Im just about to upload mine, so ill stick them up when I do.

You should have came along to the DSM, at least Citroens actually have the basics and more ... No bonnet! Were you at a lawn mower rally or something?

Yes, by the looks of Saturdays pics, that was the more popular day, still, it was a very enjoyable event on the sunday.

I look forward to the pics! :D

Lawnmower!  Thing is though, Citroen's don't have a 6.0 V8 with 350BHP and 400FT/LB only at 3000 revs...! 8-)

I have just started uploading them so might take a little while, though they are heavily populated with moderns, there are a good few DS ones too.

Ive managed to live this long without having that amount of torque on tap, ill probably go on a bit longer, especially if it means I have a roof over myself and the engine

WHat was it you were in yesterday?
