Planned outage 06/07/10

Post by Xaccers »

There will be an outage later this evening when I install more memory into the server (assuming my neighbour comes home and gives me the parcel that was left with her).

It will probably be between 8pm and 10pm.

Football????!!!!

I'd rather stick pins in my eyes. Still, all this footy nonsense has meant that I've been able to get well stuck in to the recordings on the PVR.

my thoughts exactly.

now the server has 1GB of RAM, so it should be behaving even better than it usually does.

there is however an update to VMWare which I'll be installing, so the server will probably go off for a bit while services get updated and restarted.

And we're back.
Outage was a bit longer than planned, the VMWare upgrade turned out to be a VMWare trash server reinstall.

Oh the joys of 'puters.

Really appreciate the offer KP, but the server takes DDR3 memory and we've now filled it up to the max 8GB the motherboard can take :)
