T55 for the caliper's if memory serves and T30 to get the disc's off, buy a good quality set in any case.
Your disc's should be 266mm dia.x 20mm thick and so should mine, but Citroen decided to put estate front brake's on my 19TD hatch for some reason, those are 283mm x 22mm thick, so I would offer a measuring stick up to them before taking them off if I were you.

Yes they were definitely torx on my 97 Xantia, I think David is right that thbe size is T55.
I bought a 1/2" drive Torx socket from Halfords who let me take it outside and check that it fitted.
I know it's a pain but the good news is that Torx are excellent fasteners and don't tend to get rounded like allen keys.
As the Xantia uses Torx all over the car you might want to consider just buying a set.

Did Job,
Brakes now work no steering shimmy or pulsing brake pedal and more positive feel can feather them now - so well worth it.
Dave and Mark you were correct is a T55 and can confirm the Halford sockets were fine - I bought a single one for about £4 which worked fine.
Delay in reply due to Pc dying sometimes Citreons seem simple...

andrew, regarding torx set, you can buy a complete set from www.draper.co.uk, set has got 48 peices, part no - dra21932, very worthwhile investment if you are planing to do lots of work on your car, mine cost me just £29.99 from a local car parts shop.
