Brake pads...

Post by smurfen »

Hi.
I just finished changing the front brakes of my BX 16V to Xantia V6 estate.
I've looked everywhere but I can't seem to find any other brakepads than original.
Since my driving style is very hard I'd like to get some pads that won't fade as easily as the original ones.
Does anyone know of any other manufacturer than Bendix, preferably Brembo, Green Stuff?
Cheers
Daniel

I've found harder front brakepads to my Xantia. I don't know the brand, but I can find out. Bought it at a brake specialist here in Norway. After fitting the new pads I have to press the brakepedal a littlebit harder, and it seems to me that this opens for a little more pressure to the rear brakes... Just have this in mind when you fit harder pads.

Thanks for the answers.
I just found out that EBC indeed make pads for the Xantia V6/2.1TD/2.0TCT
I'll probably order a set of pads for my car from them if no one else can supply me with a better alternative.
Cheers

WHen i changed the pads on my zx 2.0i I used Green Stuff to try to compensate for the fact that the brakes are crap. Unfortunately I had no improvement on performance although since the pads are kevlar I did keep my front wheels clean since they don't produce any dust. The best pads for my ZX I reckon having tried a few are the standard equipment ones from citroen.
