Hi Glenn - You can't be too far away from Pleiades in Sawtry, Cambridgeshire. What they don't know about Citroen hydraulics would fit on a pin head.

Hi John,
Thanks for that, I have spoke to them but it would be about 150 mile round trip from where I am. I have already taken the car to a so called french car dealer, who said that the rear of the car was to low,and readjusted the height unit, but now the front will not come up in the morning without a fiddy with the height control in the car to get the front leg to move to the roughly the correct height. I know front n/s sphere is a little weak but what else is going on I don't know?. the car does now seem bum high now, but the garage said that he used citeon "KEYS" to set the height up !!!!! Never hear of these "keys" before.
Any ideas any one

Glenn,
It sounds as though the "keys" he's talking about might be the ones to your bank account.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> I would imagine he's simply referring to some type of thing that gives the correct height when adjusting the height correctors. To me it sounds like you may have a problem with these height correctors sticking due to requiring lubing and freeing up; something you don't do unless you've got a pit or ramp to work under. Depending on the cars service history, it may also be due for a flushing out of the hydraulics.
I would suggest that you at least phone Pleiades and discuss it with them. Who knows, they may even have someone near you that they could recommend. The 150 mile trip would be my option personally, as I have seen some of these trivial things quickly turn into horror stories when you start getting guys doing jobs in instalments. (ie) adjust height correctors; second trip - free linkages; third trip - drain system & fill with hydraflush; fourth trip .....and so on.
Sometimes taking what appears to be the long route can be the quickest and cheapest path to follow, and as John says, these guys get it right the first time which always works out to be the cheapest in the long run.
BTW, forget the sphere being down a bit; they have a bearing on the softness of the ride but absolutely no effect on its rising.
