I already did read & clear, and the MIL went off as expected (although I cleared it a week ago with my cheap off-the-shelf plug-in fault-finder and it re-appeared quickly). It's the three beeps with no light which I now need to trace, and I know they can be a booga. Do you think it'll still be related to the now-cleared faults?
Dougie.

Re: PSA interface checker
The three beeps are probably related to the oil level sensor. If you try this at night when it's darker, look to see if you can see the oil warning light come on - although it may be quite dim. This has been known to cause the problem, despite the oil level being correct. So worth investigating that.
Also, you should have a warning message with the three beeps - if this is not happening or no other dash lights - then another possibility is that somebody has interfered with the dash warning bulbs / wiring. This is not uncommon now with the stricter MOTs in force concerning warning lamps. People have been known to do it for airbag warning too.... hence why you are hearing the beeps but possibly with no associated warning lamp.
