Diagbox installation problems - no supply

Post by matjanplock »

Hi guys.
I know there was loads of topics like this but mine is a bit different I believe. Ive been searching for any advice for weeks. I bought my lexia right. Ive been told to get xp 32bit and all. So Ive got a machine to run xp but anytime diagbox started installation after like 5seconds it show an error - computer is not connected to the mains supply. Please connect the supply. Now Ive been messing with all network and memory setting I can think off but Im not genius in computers :D but no joy. I also tried on my win10 64bit when I red that diagbox should run on it but Im having the same problem. Then I tought maybe its installation file no good so I downloaded other one from internet AND ITS ALL SAME.

If anybody know what to do please guide me.

Thanks in advance
Mat

Don't bother on 64 bit OS Mat, as it won't work on your C2 anyway.

Diagbox software is for newer PSA vehicles from about 2007/8 onwards depending on model. It does also contain within Diagbox, the Peugeot Planet 2000 and Lexia software for earlier models Mat - which will launch automatically depending on the year of your vehicle. BUT the issue is that these 2 applications were written in 16 bit code that a 64 bit operating system cannot run.

That aside, it seems you have either an installation issue or a problem with your other laptop. I don't recognise that message as being a Diagbox message. That seems like your laptop is not getting power from the mains adapter so is running low on power?

Im runnning both windows on same computer. For xp Ive installed virtual machine. I dont know what supply is on about. When I run it in Polish (because I am Polish) the same error occurs but it says smth like "your computer is not connected to network. Please supply connection". All adapter are working as far as I know and computer is fine really..

Your issue might be with the VM Mat - Diagbox is bad enough to get working as it is - but there are added complications with a VM - you'll need to ensure the USB pass through is working properly or the VCI won't be able to communicate through the ports and pass the info through to the VM. Also if you have a VM, make sure you have a network switch setup that is working properly.

I mean having a working virtual network switch that the VM can use - Diagbox relies on the network adapter hardware during installation to generate a licence key. If your network adapter (or virtual adapter) isn't working or functional or disabled, you won't ever get it working. You shouldn't have a live internet connection using Diagbox as it may deactivate your software - but just ensure the network adapter is enabled and visible to the VM prior to installing Diagbox.
