Problems with bluetooth

Post by Franchute13 »

Hello!.
I have an other question.
Again it's about the P 407 v6 petrol with vin: VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
The bluetooth does not work. The previous owner (my sister) of the car said that from one day to the next it stopped working.
The diagBox shows the following list of errors regarding bluetooth.

BSI code F03d
Defect absence of communication with the hands-free kit calculator or the nomad box.

Multifunction screen (EMF_C) code F8F0
Defect absence of communication with the hands-free kit computer.

Stereo code: F905
Defect of the auxiliary audio inputs ns 1.

Any suggestions on what it can be?
How is the wiring of the bluetooth? From the bluetooth the cable goes to the stereo or to the BSI?

regards

I've only just seen this post, so sorry for the delay!

On your vehicle the RD4 does not have an integrated bluetooth adapter within the RD4 Head Unit as it is an older unit. Instead it uses a Hands-free unit (or Nomad Unit as it is called) to handle the bluetooth.

I'm assuming you have a Lexia as you have reported those fault codes. Have you changed any settings in the BSI or the Head UNit or Multi Function Screen ECUs? Changing a value other than the correct one for the correct options can cause malfunctions as the Evolution BSI you have fitted was used on a range of other PSA vehicles - so some options are not applicable to your car.

Basically there is a communication fault between the Nomad Unit and the Multifunction Screen and also the AUX. This tells me it is a configuration problem most likely - that some settings may have been changed.

Can you confirm if anything or anyone has changed any settings anywhere?
