scenic clutch
Hi all, can anyone tell me if there is a how to guide on changing a clutch on a grand scenic, 55 reg, 1.6, please, or has anyone ever done their own, my father in laws clutch is slipping really badly now, and he has been quoted anywhere between £600 and £1000 to change it, I have changed clutches before, but never a scenic one, looking for tips and pointers as to what is involved thanks, some have said engine needs to come completely out and others have said, the gearbox can stay in the car, obviously it has to be separated lol, but can balance on the subframe, thanks in advance.

Re: scenic clutch
Hi and welcome to the Forum.
Is it a Diesel? If so, is it possible they have quoted you to replace the Dual Mass Flywheel at the same time as this is a recommended operation when replacing the clutch - given the cost of the labour and DMFs rarely see the life of clutch replacement. Something to clarify as this will obviously push the cost up (again - if it Diesel and has a DMF).
