R21 Clutch

Can anyone advise on a very heavy clutch action on my 1994 R21 2000cc? I have had the clutch cable break and also the pedal assembly. I replaced the clutch assembly about 5000 miles ago to try and cure the problem but in truth the friction plate was in good order. It was still very heavy afterwards and again the pedal assembly has broken. Any ideas?

Ok,Ive fixed it myself. It turned out to be the new clutch cable(pattern part, less than 5000 miles use on it), delaminating inside the outer sleeve.
