You needn't worry about that as we all love reading your adventures, whatever the vehicle ;)

Ooh, that Lancia is very rare. I saw Car SOS doing a job on one, and the biggest problem was finding a replacement engine. The original had gone in to have the head gasket done, and then the garage went bust, and the engine went missing.

I remember the episode. They're a surprisingly tough car and not as bad on the rust as most older Lancias. This one thankfully still has its engine. The brakes need sorting, the master cylinder has failed and it's apparently difficult and expensive to put right. Bodywork is really only the victim of bad repairs but far less rusty than you'd expect of a mid-60s Italian. Just a shame they're not worth mega-coin, this one cost something like £1700 or £1900 when it was bought and that was about right for a running, complete car that needed attention. It will need more money putting into it to restore than it's going to be worth, if you factor the labour costs in, so it only makes sense to do enthusiast fashion rather than as a business proposition. In a way, it's a shame they're not worth more really. They're a bit of an odd car too, they're not quite a GT, not quite a proper coupé, not quite a two-door saloon... hard to know where they fit in and I think that keeps the price down on them. They have some rallying heritage, though not to the degree or popularity/success of Eric Carlsson's Saab or Colin McCrae's Fords. Bit of an odd one really, and that's probably why I like it so much.
