Clio idling problem fixed

My wifes 1993 1.4 RT Clio had a recurring problem of the idle speed being too high and refusing to slow down due to the fuel injection system. After extensive testing and eventually getting to the point of 'having to live with it' I bumped into a rather knowledgeable chap who calmly said "Oh you need to get a 'case interface', it was a modification Renault did after complaints." Basically this is a small electric device which costs about £20 and fits between the fuel injector housing and its supply lead boosting the electric signal to the ECU. It takes all of 2 minutes to fit including opening the bonnet and guess what it works!
