The latest RT6 (emyway) firmware is available to those who are interested, FW2.85 (both CAN versions) ... the update is now lot quicker than the previous versions (roughly 15 min), and it should be more stable ... haven't seen any visible changes so far (all the menus and options are still in place, still no BT phone music streaming details)

I've finally decided to bite the bullet, and start cutting one of the headrests to fit the Alpine monitor ... it isn't a pretty picture, and the end result won't be as pretty as on the more wider headrests (with extra room and material to cover the process), but all in all won't be that ugly to be honest (me being a perfectionist at these things ... :D ) ... to all the others, 7" monitors (with the mounting bracket of course) can't fit nicely on the genuine headrests, but if you're willing to give it a try, you'll get that much of a larger picture ... I saw some examples on the net, where people managed to mount the 5.8" screens on the headrests with room around ...

No, I haven't had the chance (or the need) to dig under that ... so far ... but if you're curious to see the Tourer stripped bare, see the image below ... :D

The dvb-t tuner arrived, very happy with the way it works (if only I could change its boot screen - currently an orange Lambo Diablo is on it), I've arranged for the complete required wiring to be done in the Citroen Service (my usual mechanic), so I'll be installing the Alpine Headrest Monitors system, the dvb-t tuner, and hopefully something extra in a single go (still waiting for some parts, hopefully by the end of the month) ... and after that, I'll take a break, and add something more ... after that, I think the car will be a media center on par with the West Coast Customs tuned cars (those of you who watched Pimp My Ride by Xibit will know what I'm talking about) ... after that, back to standard parts once again ... :D ... obviously, no pictures yet, to keep the suspense high ...

Long story short, this is the current situation in my car (the only thing that was Photoshopped was the image size, nothing else ... :D ... the images were taken in pitch black, sorry for lower quality):

Yes, I now have headrest monitors (up to 3 sources, 1 currently):

Image

Yes, I now watch up to 2 sources on the main screen (1 currently):

Image

Yes, I now have the reverse camera image on the main screen (no guide-lines at this time):

Any questions?

:D

A 300-mile road trip tested the DVB-T tuner and the video setup in the car, works flawlessly ... the reversing camera is also a great safety bonus while reversing, so in conclusion, it was a great investment ... not cheap, but great ... :D

If I were James Bond, maybe ... but I'd still like to retain the road-legal classification of my everyday vehicle ... :D ... I still have some ideas, so keep an eye on this topic from time to time ...
