It's the warning light telling you that the engine has a fault - or is about to develop one. Maybe a sensor has gone down. Is it on all the time, or only sometimes?

Hi
The oxygen sensor is screwed into the exhaust down pipe just in front of the cat, Best reached from under the car.
£176! Thats a rip off! You can pick these sensors up at most motor factors or even Halfrauds as a last resort, Get a well known name like NGK / Bosch & avoid the cheap ones because they dont last.
Screws in the exhaust ( If the old one comes out easily! ) & just plugs in to the wiring loom ( Unless you get a universal one & have to join the wires up )
