Post by Colin.ab »

Hi there,
Hope sombody can help me on this one.
All the dials on the Pug suddenly stopped working last week. I have checked all the usual suspects, fuses, shunts, connectors etc.
tried all the easy fixes, wiggle the connector, disconnect the battery, replug the intruemnt cluster.
Cluster warnign lamps and mile counter all work fine!
Any help gratfully received.
Thx
Col.

Hi
Have you tried re-booting the dash board?

Hi
To re-boot the dash board.
1) Find the fuse box inside the car & locate the Black & Red shunt with SH in White letters printed on it.
2) Start the engine & let it idle.
3) Remove the shunt for at least 10 seconds & then replace it.
4) Gauges should go to maximum for a few seconds, then return to normal.

Pulled the instrument cluster again today and found a dry joint on the voltage regulator. Seems to have fixed the problems.
