205 GT (TU3) Water Pump replacement

Post by joshm »

Oh well, it was bound to happen - I replace my timing and auxillary belts and the coolant starts to flow :(
I've looked in the Haynes manual and it says to remove the entire pump housing when replacing the pump. Is this strictly necessary, does anyone know?
Is there a gasket for the alloy engined TU3, since there doesn't seem to be one mentioned in the manual?
If I was to get a pump from G,S&F would I get the O-ring and any gaskets too or would I need to visit a Peugeot dealer for these parts?
Thanks for any advice - I only wish I taken all of the advice about changing the belt and checked the pump more carefully when everything was disassembled!

Job done!
No gasket, o-ring seal only (supplied with new pump).
