306 rear wiper motor

Hi folks,
My rear wiper died recently, but then magically resurrected itself a few days later. When I went to use it last night it didn't work at all again [:(]
I've had the motor assembly out today and I think the motor is okay as I can hear the relay clicking and there's some current drain, so I suspect the inner workings have seized.
Any idea if it's possible to get at the gizzards or how to un-seize? It looks like it's riveted up, which I didn't like one bit, especially as replacements are £65 from GSF.
