406 - electirc questions

Post by Patxi »

Hi!
I just wanted to know if the central locking system, fuse box assy, etc, are similar between engine configurations, i.e., equal harness configuration.
Thank you

Peugeot normally only fit 1 wiring harness to all the 406s, Its cheaper to make just 1 standard harness then to have loads of different ones for different spec cars, You just keep finding plugs tucked away behind your trim for the things you havent got fitted. They started doing this about 1994 / 1995.

You might find the engine harness is different if your talking 4 cyl petrol, 6 cly petrol or a diesel.

obviously the multiplex harness will be totally different from non multiplex & the estate version will likely be different.
