Programming ignition keys... Expert Van

Post by Martin Carvill »

Anyone know how to programme a new key into the electronics of an Expert van? It can't be that difficult surely.
Ive replaced the ignition barrel and everything is OK except that the key recognition sensor ( coil ) wont recognise the new keys. It recognises the old ones fine.
Please help

you have 2 options, take the van to a peugeot dealer to have the keys programed as you need the diagnostic computer to do this, you will also need the 4 digit transponder code.
option 2- tape one of the old keys to the recever round the ignition barrel under the steering column covers which means the imobiliser will unlock as soon as the ignition is switched on,it also means you wont have an imobiliser & the van will be less secure.
