Injector Coding with PP2000

Post by LittleOldSuzi »

I have just got a 207 running with a new injector but PP2000 wants an 8 digit code and the injector has 10 digits on the sticker. The original injectors have 9 and the last digit is simply dropped when programming but I don't want to guess how which 8 digits to use and cause an issue.

Any information would be great. Thanks.

Here you go: So basically just enter the first 8 characters.
Injector Code.png
INJECTOR CONFIGURATION
(1) Location of the 8 characters
(2) Location of the ninth character

There are 2 types of injectors:
  • 1st generation with 8 characters
  • 2nd generation with 9 characters

The diagnostic tool allows you to programme either:

8 characters - Conventional for 1st generation injectors
for 2nd generation injectors the last character (2) does not have to be taken into account.

or:

9 characters - Enter all the characters present on the injector.

Hello, i'm new here and this is my first dumb question :

I own a Peugeot 307SW my2008 , engine petrol 2.0l 16v , with 170'000km on his back (or 106'000 miles).

Since it's pretty old and i don't know how much love the ex-owners have given to this car, i wanted to do some servicing (= replacing used or potentially worn parts).
One of those is putting new injectors, and i've thought that it was an easy "swap" of the original ones with identical replacement parts.

Then i've found this thread about programming the ecu with pp2000 , so this mean that i can't simply replace the injectors but i have to reprogram the ecu ? is that correct ?

Thank you for your answer
Dave

Injectors should be coded - or this can impact on the mixture and cause rough running.

Post up your VIN (automatically masked from public view) so we can see what exactly you have.

Thank you Marc !

VIN number is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

I've already ordered a Lexia interface (for diagnostic purposes)

"rough running" , this is interesting since my car looks like is under-powered until 2000-2500 rpm . Maybe i'm expecting too much but it's always a 140hp engine, i was expecting a little more responsive.

This is why i'm about to clean MAF and intake pipe, and then replacing the injectors if this is not enough.

Ok, so you have the 307 RESTYLING ESTATE - LEISURE 2.0 i 16v 143 (EW10A) Manual gearbox 5.

Unfortunately there is no info that I have on the injectors for this engine - specifically the removal and replacement, so I'm unable to help you with this aspect - but when you get your Lexia kit and run a Global Test, do put up your codes in a separate thread and we can help with these.
