Central Locking/Warning Buzzer

Hi, my central locking stopped working suddenly yesterday, as did the headlight warning buzzer in my Y-Reg 306 1.4 Meridian. I am suspecting a fuse problem of some kind because my radio had recently been nicked and the thieves cut the audio wiring and left them exposed. Yesterday saw some sparks at the wires then realised the problems a little later. Everything else seems to be working ok so far. When I press the plip on the key, I can hear something just behind the dashboard as though it is trying to do something? Any ideas?

I had the same problem when i removed a faulty door speaker.
My central locking stopped and the warning buzzer didnt work.
I found that i hadnt reconnected the electrical joint on the inner door properly when i had removed the speaker. Once i tightened it all was ok.
Not sure if that will help.
