Hello all. Hopefully a light-hearted discussion, I'm considering buying a 308 probably a 2012 model. I was hoping I might get some advice on whether or not there a good buy, reliability etc. I've looked at loads of reviews etc on the web but would like to hear from people that actually own them.
Also what if any are the best engines and trim levels to look for

Generally speaking, they are a good car. The choice of which specification must be influenced by how you intend to use it. I am happy with our 308 CC 155 THP, but I know that specification would not suit everyone.
Whichever style you go for, I would hold out for one with a high trim level (electric seats, front parking sensors, etc.)
Both the petrol and diesel engines have some potential issues, but are manageable.
