Courtesy Lights on 405

Post by cjhx »

Does anyone know where the relay or control unit is for the interior courtesy lights?

Haynes 405 petrol refers to locations as follows: -
Most are located under the facia, behind the main fusebox, and mounted on various brackets around the steering column.
What is your problem? No courtesy lights at all? Do they work on ANY door?
If they work on one door then you may have a mucky door switch, so take off and clean terminals and area onto which the earth is provided.
TAKE CARE not to drop the wiring inside door as switch is removed!!!
If none at all , yes chase the relay, I think I can hear mine in suggested location.

I have tested the door switches and they are ok. The lights stay on all the time (except when switched to manual off).
I know the area you mean about the relays but getting access to them behind the fusebox is ridiculous.
