Ok, so you have the 307 5 Door Saloon 1.4 HDi 70 Manual 5 Speed

This is the windscreen that has the markings for the multifunction sensor, but does not contain the sensor itself.
307 Windscreen.PNG
The Multi Function Sensor itself (15), the Rain Detection Sensor Cover (16) and the Rain Sensor Support Cover (17) are separate parts, so the replacement windscreen will have nothing to do with the sensors - possibly just the pre-marking for mounting them.

So regardless of the windscreen, you should just fit the sensors back in place and deactivate the function if you do not want to use it. If you want to turn the function on or off (without PP2000) just follow this to deactivate auto lights:

To disarm or activate the function:
  • Place the key in the accessories position (1st notch),
  • Place the lights stalk in the AUTO/0 position,
  • Press the end of the lights stalk for more than four seconds.
Regarding your Fog Lights: For UK law, the front fog lights are not tested under section 1.3 (May 2017)
There must be at least one working fog light at the rear (either centrally or the offside).

There may be an option in the BSI to have your dipped headlight come on with ignition on/engine running.
It is there for Scandinavian countries for the C5 I believe.

How do I do this? The BSI seems to control a lot of things, if I mess it up will I have an expensive paperweight?

Yes is the answer, so caution is required when telecoding. You'll need somebody with Diagbox and Peugeot Planet 2000 to alter the lighting settings.

I just checked the rules for the Irish National Car Test (NCT) no mention of front fog lights which is fine for the test. I'd kinda like to have them working there's power both sides of the front fog fuse on the BSI the little light on the dash comes on but no power to the bulbs.

I'll maybe just leave it alone I think there's a problem with the fogs on the BSI and I don't have diagbox or planet and even if I had I wouldn't have a clue how to use them!

So does the sensor mirror fit the non sensor windscreen? I have an argument ongoing with axa insurance, the company "policy" which isn't in the insurance policy, is to have windows examined unless you have the car for an unspecified period of time. Seems they usually say it's an old crack and refuse payment. They use autoglass for the inspections and they commence the hard sell almost immediately, grrr. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay for it myself and the non sensor glass is considerably cheaper. BTW new bulbs and the fogs started to work, old bulbs works off a battery I got confused and left it at that!

Try some other independent screen fitters.
Daughter's SAAB needed a new screen and SAAB wanted £1,000 or £800 cash
Autoglass wanted £600.
A small local firm did it for £129 and gave her a receipt for £300 :) *

*Her boyfriend at the time (and that was the finish of him) hit it and cracked it - he got to pay the £300 or appear in court.
She knocked his teeth out for good measure as he had tried to keep her imprisoned in his house.:)

She was beaten up when she was 13 and said she would never let that happen to her again.
She is very sweet and as nice as ninepence until someone gives her grief then they get it back in spades. She is exceptionally fast and MMA :)
And a little squirt :) :)

Your daughter sounds like a feisty brave lady, more power to her, local firm is doing the windscreen for €190.00 cash, axa being the worst insurer ever wont pay, cest la vie. I rang a few companies they were all more expensive and some would only fit a sensor screen despite me telling them I was sufficiently sentient to know when it was dark or raining
