Peugeot 1.4 HDi uses oil dipstick p/n 117485, while 1.6 HDi uses p/n 1174G2.
Are these two part numbers fully interchangeable?
Do they have the same length (and identical higher/lower-level markings?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Cabbage does not cook that quickly my friend, give it time. That is also a very obscure question.

They are not, the second one is about 70mm longer.

They are only £8 delivered for either option.
The short one is plastic and the long one metal so I can see why someone would want to upgrade.

Indeed, if you've ever tried to check the oil on the 1.4 then you have also considered upgrading to a metal dipstick. The original item is terrible! Our solution? get a longer metal one and cut down to same size/make duplicate high/low markings with dremel (and of course THOROUGHLY cleaned off with brake cleaner before fitting!)
The plastic ones all seem to either look like they're about to break off or already have broken... (not to mention they distort with heat at the business end and I would question the accuracy of a bent dipstick)
Sorry I didn't see the post originally.
