Even the listing detail is a put off, £250 deposit etc etc.

Sometimes I don't understand you guys. You all slated me for daring to change the wheels on my activa, and here is a very rare car and all I'm reading is rip it to bits, destroying it in the process. I can change the wheels back yo standard in 1/2 an hour. I'm bidding on this, and if I win the activa goes, and it will be left a 2.0 auto, with different wheels lol

Not the car getting a slagging Dave, the EBay seller does, and correctly so based on his history.

If you do win it let me know, it is quite local so I could arrange a lift down there for you.

I might buy the car but will the winning bid get it, from the feedback I'd guess probably not unless the bid is above retail.

I'd like to know what the seller's idea is of a "sensible" cash offer, especially given the way the listing is worded, that they'll tell you what's wrong with the car when you buy it... (admittedly it's likely just the wording but that's pretty funny IMO)

And I think Dave was referring to the fact that there was talk of a diesel/manual conversion when someone (presumably, I never saw the post/s) has chastised him on a choice of non-standard wheels, which is not even a modification IMO as it's 4 bolt on bits that can be swapped as mentioned in minutes. (and actually using different wheels might even serve to protect the originals for the future in case of pothole/kerb damage).

I actually changed the wheels to 17" ones so I could get a better choice of tyres, and i had the wheels anyway. They make the car have so much more grip than the ones it came with so is a safety concern

So, the question is DID anybody on this forum bid/win this auction? And the bigger question, given it didn't make a huge sum, is did the seller complete the deal or make more excuses? Would love to hear what happened, if the car was as good as it seemed etc.

whoever won it at 310 squid and left the vendor negative feedback, appearing to imply that it had faults he should've noticed when / if he looked it over before buying...

...has now re-advertised it at 600 !!

The cheek of it !!

I'm not into 'stirring' but I do hate unfairness.
