Crazy question time lol... (and a not so crazy one)

OK I can't see this being easy, if possible at all but would love to hear if anyone's done this/tried & failed/tried and could have but was too much hassle/would fit but look really gash/ etc... 206cc rear seats (and centre trim) into a 206 5dr hatch...

OK now you've stopped laughing... but there does seem to be a fair old few cc's with full leather in local yards & breaking and I do quite like the look of the cc back seats.

We'll probably end up going with GTi items in the end but will still be taking the measuring tape to the yard next time we go lol

From memory (I've not checked this!) the uprights are bolted into the CC with just a ski flap affair, obviously the hatch / estate ones fold. The base cushion may also be bolted in.

This is something really you may have to examine with a tape measure as you've said. I had a similar experience when I wanted to put some 306 seats into a 205, fronts not to difficult with a bit of modification, rears another story as they are a bit too wide.

Also, not quite as crazy, while I'm about the little 206 (just bought a motaquip clutch kit and service fluids/filters as a treat lol) I have a question about the fuel filter/housing...

Is the filter intended to last the life of the car/only be replaced when there's a problem? just seems weird having a non-serviceable housing/sedimenter/filter unit rather than just draining and replacing an element...

So my question is, on a car that's showing just over 96k, service history lost/unknown but from the general condition & fully bolted on undertray (not a zip tie in sight) i'd say it's been looked after well, what would YOU do? Change the filter & housing at another £25 that could be spent on food, or just drain off a bit of juice and make sure there's no water in there, and continue with the fitted one until such time as there's any drop in performance?

If I had the cash to spare it'd be a no brainer, I'd fit a new filter every year like on the ZX but come on, £25+ is a lot of money when you have 2 kids to run as well as 2 cars haha...

Oh, one more thing too, anyone know the oil capacity of the manual gearbox? thinking it'd be easier/better to pull the N/S shaft out, drain & change the oil when I do the clutch job, rather than trying to keep both driveshafts in the box... (guessing at least 1 shaft/inner CV would need to be left holding the diff in place though?)

EDIT-:Oh just seen the reply to 1st (crazy) question lol. Thanks Andy much appreciated. The more I think of it the more I go off the idea anyway TBH, nothing wrong with a nice set of GTi leathers as long as we can do something about making our (blue cloth) back door cards match.
